Dr. Docasar completed her medical degree at Howard University in Washington D.C., and performed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. Before completing her MD, she focused on womenâ€™s health care during her college years in San Diego, California, where she worked with an adolescent teenage pregnancy program. It was during this experience that she decided to concentrate on Ob-Gyn studies. Dr. Docasar has had the privilege of serving in a US Military Veteran and served at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda Maryland. We honor Dr. Docasar for her brave and selfless service to the US Navy. Her vast medical expertise has been honed from her varietal experiences, including academic medicine, military medicine, organized Medicine with Kaiser Permanente, as well as her own private practice.
Dr. Docasarâ€™s astonishing accomplishments include: winning an award by the Congressional Hispanic caucus for her involvement in raising awareness in Latino Health Care, serving 3 years on the Admiralâ€™s Naval National Domestic Violence Committee, providing lectures on numerous Womenâ€™s Health Care topics, serving as Attending teaching staff member at the Washington Hospital Center, Bethesda National Medical Center, and serving at the University Armed Services College, as well as Toro University.
Among her many prestigious association memberships are the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Gynecological Cosmetic Surgeons and the American College of Cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Docasarâ€™s surgical training includes: Laparoscopic Surgery for Hysterectomy & Ovarian Disease, Hysteroscopic Surgery including the â€œNo Scarâ€? Tubal Ligation & the â€œStop Bleedingâ€? Endometrial ablation, & cosmetic surgery in Laser Lipolysis. Her other areas of interests include: Hormonal therapy, Infertility Evaluations and Womenâ€™s education.
