A native of the Las Vegas Valley, Dr. Archie C. Perry, Jr. is a leading American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons-Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He specializes in a full spectrum of spinal surgical and minimally-invasive surgical procedures. He and his highly-skilled, warm and friendly staff understand the importance of a healthy neck and spine. He begins every treatment with a comprehensive evaluation and dialogue to determine the extent of the spinal diagnosis and problem and educates every patient about their diagnoses, procedure and lifestyle changes that can increase spinal health. For most spinal procedures, he develops a comprehensive non-surgical approach to spinal issues, including physical therapy, Chiropractic care, pain management and injection therapy. Additionally, Dr. Perry is one of the only spinal surgeons in Nevada that specializes in the surgical treatment of complex spinal deformities in children and adults, including Scoliosis and Kyphosis. Utilizing his immense experience and world-class training, Dr. Perry has become the area's professional in supervising the most complex spinal issues, including revision surgery (repairing an area damaged by prior surgery) and spinal tumors and infections.
Dr. Perry received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He received his Orthopaedic Surgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he was honored as top resident of his class. Additionally, he completed his Orthopaedic spine fellowship training at the Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, where he received specialty training in adult and pediatric spinal surgery. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Nevada, where he was the recipient of numerous honors, including the Regent Scholar Award given by the University of Nevada Board of Regents.
Currently, Dr. Perry is a Clinical Instructor of Surgery for the University of Nevada School of Medicine, as well as adjunct Clinical Faculty for Touro University School of Medicine. He serves as the Director of the Spine Program and is Vice Chairman of Surgery at Spring Valley Hospital.
Dr. Perry has been involved in many basic science and clinical research ventures. He has written and spoken on several Orthopaedic-related topics including spine, foot and ankle, and musculoskeletal Infections.
